Maritime Art

Current exhibits include Gone Fishing, paintings by legendary Erie artist and teacher Joseph M. Plavcan.  This group illustrates recreation on Erie’s waterfront in the later 20th Century.

Other featured artists include 19th Century artists Proper Senat and Julian O. Davidson, whose epic oil painting The Battle of Lake Erie can be seen in the Main Floor exhibit hall.
